According to him, “I am a very emotional guy and how I feel is how I sing. It’s easier for me to connect with my feelings when I want to write a song and the things I have seen or gone through also inspires me to make the kind of music I want to make .
For the artists and songs he is currently enjoying aside from his own, the budding star says ” I am an old soul so I listen to both the old and the new school. I am still very much into Wande Coal and I love his latest single -Again, Davido -Fem, Wizkid -No Stress, Burnaboy’s Twice as Tall, etc. Rema, Omah Lay, Joeboy, FireboyDML, Oxlade etc. are some of the new school artists I appreciate and enjoy their music.
To be honest I listen to every kind of sound because I think every sound has it’s own uniqueness and for me as an artist, there is always something for me to pick from whatever I hear and whatever genre of music it is.”
On what differentiates him from other acts, El Manny says ” What makes me different from other artists has to be my sound, my songwriting style, the ability to infuse very simple melodies into my songs. I try not to do too much because like they say sometimes “less is more”.
He further stresses that “Being myself is what makes me and my music different. if you hear me on a song you would definitely know this is EL Manny. There is only one El Manny haha. Y’all should better watch out for me.
